From September 7-19, Marin Alsop leads the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in a multi-city tour of Japan with soloist Hayato Sumino (also known on YouTube as Cateen). The program includes Bacewicz’s Overture, Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1, Brahms’s Symphony No. 1, and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.”
The tour marks the orchestra’s sixth visit to Japan and first return to the country in 20 years.
